Alpha Phi University of Alabama Scrapbook, 1953-1957

This scrapbook documents Shirley Brunner's experience as a member of Beta Mu Chapter and a student at the University of Alabama from 1953 to 1957. The scrapbook contains ephemera, newspaper clippings, and documents, and some photographs from chapter and campus activities. Shirley Brunner was a student at the University of Alabama in 1956, when the school admitted Autherine Lucy, its first African-American student, and some materials in the scrapbook reference this event.
