A Publication of Alpha Phi International Fraternity
Since 1888
Vol. 111, No. 3
Summer 199
n the winter of 1998, the Quarterly introduced a change in its
I
distribution process in an attempt to save on production/distribution
costs and produce the best possible publication for Alpha Phi sisters.
Alpha Phi's membership has grown to nearly 100,000 sisters. However,
printing and mailing that many magazines costs the Fraternity hundreds
of thousands of dollars each year. As of 1998, all Alpha Phis receive the
comprehensive summer issue, but only those who have indicated SO by
notifying the Quarterly receive all four issues.
This positive change has already led to savings and provided for a
re-design of the magazine for this issue. With your help, we will continue
to work toward improving the Quarterly.
Please fill out the form on the back page of this issue and let us
know how often you would like to receive the Quarterly-either all four
issues or just the special comprehensive summer issue.
Please note: If we do not receive notice from you, we will auto-
matically send you only one issue per year. You have the opportunity
at any time to change your subscription.
Also, please note that as of August 2, 1999, the four most recent
issues of the Quarterly will be posted on the official Alpha Phi web site
(www.alphaphi.org). For those Alpha Phis who surf the World Wide
Web, this is an ideal solution to helping keep down costs while staying
informed.
Please send your thoughts on this, or any other issue, to the
Quarterly, 1930 Sherman Ave., Evanston, IL 60201. Or e-mail your com-
ments to quarterly@alphaphi.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
