Eta Omega

Towson University

Founding Date

Alpha Phi’s Eta Omega chapter was initiated on February 24, 1990 at Towson State University, Towson, Maryland. The Zeta Omega (Johns Hopkins) chapter assisted with initiation. The reception was held at the Hunt Valley Inn and the charter was presented by International Vice-President of Program Development Colette Tyrrell Rankin (Alpha-Syracuse). There were 74 collegiate initiates and 18 alumnae initiates. 

 

The Alpha Phi Foundation presented $1,000 to Dr. Joanne Boughman (Beta Tau-Indiana), and Dr. Joel Brennee of The Pediatric Cardiac Research Center at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. The sapphire scholarship badge was presented to Cathy Turner, scholarship chair. Baltimore Alumnae Chapter President Sharon Scerback Baldwin (Delta Zeta-Maryland) presented the Lazy Phi badge to Chapter President Kim Kamuf.
