Iota Psi's installation ceremony took place on April 3, 2016 in Atlantic Beach, Florida at One Ocean Resort and Spa. The day before, the chapter had initiated approximately 70 women to be the founding members of the new chapter. Alpha Phi International Executive Board Director Coree Smith (Epsilon Theta-Northern Iowa) was present to conduct the ceremony, and other representatives there included Alpha Phi Foundation Executive Director Susan Zabriskie (Theta-Michigan), Alpha Phi Director of Collegiate Extension Megan Bouché (Epsilon-Minnesota), Extension Team Lead Shana Smith (Chi-Montana) and ELCs Kiely Crow (Gamma Kappa-CSU Long Beach) and Michele Dalon (Delta Tau-LSU), and countless local volunteers and alumnae. Shana Smith served as toastmistress for the installation banquet. Susan Zabriskie awarded Wolfson Children's Hospital with $1,000 for their cardiac care unit on behalf of the Iota Psi chapter.
