The Iota Iota chapter was founded in 2001; in the wake of 9/11, and when very large changes were happening in the District of Columbia. This life-changing event emphasized the importance of sisterhood and uniting with others. Many sisters interned with the government or local non-profits. The chapter created a common goal of seeing the good in the world after all they’d experienced that fall, and were grateful to have found each other.
