Considered Canada‘s overall number one University at the time, McMaster welcomed Alpha Phi as its largest sorority on campus. Theta Omicron chapter was installed at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario on January 30, 1993. The only other national sorority on campus was an Alpha Gamma Delta. Following installation, a reception was held at Binkley United Church, Hamilton, Ontario.
