Eta Rho

University of San Diego

Apr 22nd, 1989

Founding Date

On April 22, 1989, the University of San Diego became the site of the nineteenth chapter of Alpha Phi in California. The new arrival of Alpha Phi added an exciting new dimension to the existing Greek system. Many ideas, drawn from a variety of chapter experiences have proven successful and provide the chapter with the stability needed by such a young group.

The installation reception, planned by installation Chairman Mary Virginia Gault (Gamma Alpha-San Diego State), was held at Mission Valley Marriott with family members, friends and special guests in attendance. The charter was presented to the Eta Rho chapter at the reception, and chapter president Kathy Castro proudly received the president's badge. Eighty-seven collegians and thirty-two alumnae were initiated.
